Demand Response Program

The Demand Response Program gives your business the opportunity to earn money for making itself available to reduce its electricity consumption when called upon. Typical calls to reduce consumption occur on very hot days in the summer for 2-4 hours during the afternoon.

How It Works:

• Hess works with you to determine how you can reduce your electricity usage
• Required metering equipment is installed with no out-of-pocket expense to you
• Usage data allows you to operate your facility more efficiently
• You remain in control of how much power is reduced
• There is no financial risk or penalty for non-performance

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be able to curtail/shift 300kW or run generation
• Must be able to respond to a call within two hours of receiving notice
