Time-of-Use

Hess' Time-of-Use products are designed for customers who use more electricity during off-peak periods or can shift their load to weekends and off-peak periods. Two types of Time-of-Use products are available. In the standard on-peak/off-peak program, you pay one of two prices depending upon whether it is peak or off-peak. In the seasonal on-peak/off-peak program, you pay from four to six prices: summer peak, summer off-peak, winter peak, winter off-peak and, if desired, other peak and other off-peak. Time-of-use products are most beneficial for customers who can reduce load during peak electricity periods.
